Born and brought up in Kenya, Mufasa is a performance poet currently based in the capital, Nairobi. Arguably the one performance poet in Kenya who constantly speaks about the girl child and the plight of women, his themes revolve around social justice, gender based violence, governance, humanity and love.

A winner of multiple poetry slam championships, Mufasa’s work is greatly influenced by his inner activism for equity and social justice, while drawing inspiration from; God, life experiences, personalities such as the late Wangari Maathai, Malala Yousafzai,and a field of worldwide creative that includes Tanzanian ‘Artivist’ Vitali Maembe.
